A pair of 50-minute Production Touring Car endurance races on One Raceway’s Shelley Circuit will headline this weekend’s second round of the 2026 NSW Motor Race Championships.

It will be the first time a round of the state championships has taken place on the anti-clockwise layout of the One Raceway venue, with competitors excited to learn the new layout.

In the Production Touring category, the main outright contenders will be the Class X BMW M4 of Tom Shaw/Zak Wazir, M2 of Gerry/Leigh Burges and M3 of Brent Howard/Adam Gosling, while the technical layout should also suit some of the less powerful cars including the Toyota 86 of overall points leader, David Krusza.

The HQ Holdens always produce entertaining racing at One Raceway and have attracted a solid field for this weekend’s proceedings; after taking overall honours in the season-opener at Sydney Motorsport Park, Luke Harrison will be aiming to extend his points advantage over his closest challengers, David Allan and Jason Johnston.

In Formula Vee, category veteran Gary Ogden comes into the weekend well-placed in the points, with his primary opponents likely to consist of Angus McDonald - son of long-time Vee racer John McDonald - and the ever-improving William Pym. Encouragingly, the category has attracted some new racers in 2026, including Nicholas Klippan and Patrick Balk (who will race in the 1200cc class).

After being synonymous with the Mazda RX8 Cup for a number of seasons, One Raceway ambassador Maisie Place will make her open-wheel racing debut this weekend, competing in the Formula Ford category aboard a Swift chassis. She will do battle with young guns Oscar Evans and Eli Patten, along with series regulars such as Will Liston, Jason Liddell and John Pereira.

This weekend’s program will be rounded out by Superkarts, which will race on Sunday only and will feature a mixture of 125cc Gearbox and Non-Gearbox karts.

The on-track action will commence at 9am on both Saturday and Sunday, with spectator entry free both days.
