Goulburn motorcycle racer Tom Toparis has been appointed as an official ambassador for One Raceway, in recognition of his outstanding dedication to the sport in both Australia and overseas, along with his passionate support of the circuit.
Toparis, whose motorcycle racing journey started in motocross when he was just nine years old, made the progression to road racing in 2016 at age 15.
What followed was a wave of success, highlighted by a dominant victory in the 2019 Australian Supersport Championship.
Toparis’ local success saw him presented with opportunities to race overseas, which he grasped with both hands; he finished third in the 2023 British Supersport Championship and scored a wild card entry in the Phillip Island round of the 2024 World Supersport Championship.
During 2025, Toparis has been competing in the Australian Superbike Championship with Stop and Seal Racing.
Despite roaming far and wide, Toparis still calls Goulburn home and has been a staunch supporter of One Raceway since its reopening last year.
“As a kid, I have many fond memories watching Superbike racing at the old Wakefield Park circuit, and in 2016 I was fortunate enough to start racing around it.
“Now, when I ride on the track in its reincarnated One Raceway guise, a lot of those memories come flooding back - it’s still faithful to the original circuit, but vastly improved.
“For me to be officially representing the track as an ambassador is a terrific opportunity to give back to Steve Shelley and the team that have worked tirelessly to provide such a valuable facility for the motorcycle racing community.”
Toparis will be on the grid when the Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) returns to One Raceway on the October Long Weekend.
“The ASBK is a massive event not just for One Raceway but the entire town of Goulburn, and I can’t wait to put on a show for all my local fans,” Toparis concluded.
